Jiggling Cities

There's something about miniature architecture that tricks our trigger. Last week we were stoked on Ofra Lapid's Broken Homes, and now we've discovered Liz Hickock.

This artist, based in San Francisco, has been painstakingly recreating landmarks like the Capital in Washington DC, as well as whole neighborhoods and cities from every kid's favorite wobbly confection.

We discovered Hickock thanks to the fine folks over at Architizer, who have assembled a quick survey of Hickock's Jell-O urbanism, including the images below.

For much more gelatinous eyecandy, head to Hickock's webpage. Our favorite is a time-lapse video which plays in reverse and depicts the White House going from moldy to fresh in a couple of minutes to a score of "America, The Beautiful."
