Urban Exploration Goes Outside

Known mostly for lush photos of remote landscapes and wholesome information about nature, camping, and all the toys you need to enjoy nature and camping, Outside Magazine has surprised us with a lengthy and well-researched look at the urban exploration movement.

The piece, written by Brian Eha, tells not just a firsthand account of his adventure beneath upper Manhattan in the Freedom Tunnels made famous by the 1999 documentary "Dark Days," but presents one of the more comprehensive histories of urban exploration, its key figures, and the motivations driving this phenomenon forward. If you have even a passing interest in urban exploration, this article is a must-read!
